Marion T. Texter, age 83, formerly of Norwood, Pa., died on Monday, Jan. 12th at her home in North Cape May, NJ. Born in Norwood, Pa., and lived there for many years before moving here in 1978. She was a 1943 graduate of Glen Nor High School in Norwood, Pa. She worked for the Office of Naval Materials, Phila., Pa. She was secretary for the American Heart Assoc. of Phila., and an executive secretary for American Water Works in Greenville, Del. and Linwood, NJ, retiring after 30 years with that company. She also was a secretary for the past 17 years for Beth Judah Temple, Wildwood, NJ. She is a former member of St. Stephens' Episcopal Church of Norwood, Pa. She was a social member of Villas Fishing Club, the John Wesley Cross Post #507 American Legion Auxiliary in Norwood, the Charles " Buddy" Lewis Post #5343 Auxiliary of Villas. Surviving are a daughter, Florence A. (Sue) Francis of N. Cape May, a son, Edward R. Foreaker of Plantation, Fl., a step-daughter, Sandra Hess of Delaware County, a step-son John J. Texter of Norwood; a brother, Charles and his wife Inez Twesten of Lafayette Hills, Pa.; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward R. Foreaker and her second husband, John (Jake) Texter.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, 1:30 PM at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd., N. Cape May, NJ, where friends may call from 12:30 PM. Burial will be in Cape May County Veterans Cemetery, Cape May Court House, NJ.
