Arthur T. Chester, Jr. "Tommy", 54 of Lower Twp. passed away Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008 at the SJ Healthcare Reg. Med. Center, Vineland after a long illness.Born in Middle Township, NJ he was a life long area resident. He served in the US Army during Vietnam War. Arthur was a self-employed Barber in North Cape May. Arthur was a member of the DAV in Del Haven, VFW in the Villas, Villas Fishing Club and formerly a member of the Moose Lodge in Erma. Arthur enjoyed playing darts and greatly enjoyed the Cape May area waters and beaches.He is survived by his wife Barbara (Frame) Chester; five children, Brenda Camp (Stephen) of Upper Twp, Margie McCarthy (Dan), Robert Chester (Heather), Tommy Chester and Eric Chester all of the Villas; his mother Eva Wiegner of Del Haven and a sister Loretta Cranmer (Raymond) of N. Cape May. He also leaves eight grandchildren.Funeral service will be held Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, 11:00 am at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Road, North Cape May. Friends may call Saturday from 10 to 11 at the funeral home.Burial is private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the NJ Veterans Memorial Home, 524 North West Blvd., Vineland, NJ 08360
