Obituary of Doris M. Beattie

Doris M. Beattie, 91 of, Cape May, NJ, died Friday, December 19, 2008 at the Taylor Foundation Hospice Society, Ridley Park, PA. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she had resided in this are the past 24 years and was formerly of Swarthmore, PA. She was a retired cashier for ACME Markets, Aston, PA where she had worked for 15 years. Doris had been a member of the Christ Child Society associated with St. John of God Church. Beloved wife of over 50 years of the late William C. Beattie, she is also preceded in death by a daughter Doris Seibert (2004). Doris is survived by four daughters, Patricia Jones (Michael) of Lewes, DE, Diane (McCarthy) Seibert (Wilson) of Cape May, Maryanne DeLacy (Michael) of Ridley Park, PA and Jenise Walsh (Patrick) of Swarthmore, PA. She also leaves 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, December 22, 2008, 11:00 am at St. John of God RC Church, 680 Townbank Road, N. Cape May. Friends may call Monday from 10-11am at the church.
