Robert Henry Dallery 77- left this world on November 13, 2008 He was born ill Jersey City, NJ and graduated from Dickinson High School in Jersey City, NJ and NJIT. He worked for Public Service Electric & Gas Company for 40 years He was a Sr. Test Engineer and considered an expert in corrosion. Worked at the nuclear plants as well as other PSEG. properties. He was in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict serving on the Aircraft Carrier, FD Roosevelt.. He.was active in the Elks and Lions Clubs in Edison, N.J. was also involved in local politics in Edison, N. J. He was a head Warden at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Hunterdon County, worked with the homeless. Was an active member of Church of the Advent as President of the Episcopal Church Mens' Club. He set up the purchasing and delivering of food items for the needy in the area 3 times a year. Bob was always willing to help others. He is survived by his wife of 57 Years, Marie and two daughters and their husbands, Lynn & Anthony Canesso of Villas and Sharon & Richard Shurgalla, of State College, Pa., two grandsons, Ryan & Stephen Shurgalla and one great granddaughter, Isabel Bove-Oesterle one sister, June Rosenbauer, sister-in-law Reba Fohrenck and nieces and nephews and is pre deceased by one beloved grandson, Robert Oesterle and his parents Harriet and Henry Dallery A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Nov. 16th, 3:00 PM at the Episcopal Church of the Advent, Washington & Franklin Sts., Cape May, NJ. Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers should be sent to the Church of the Advent or American Cancer Society. Evoy Funeral Home. Please fax charges to 609-886-8364
