Ruth V. Newman, age 87, of Villas died on Sunday at Eastern Shore Nursing Home. Born in Haddonfield, NJ she formerly lived in Eagleville, Pa. She summered in Cape May County since 1986, moving permanently in 2005. Before retiring, she was employed by the American Baptist Convention in Valley Forge, Pa. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Norristown, Pa. Surviving are her husband of 65 years, George; a son, Ronald G. Newman of Verona, NJ; a daughter, Barbara Rodenbaugh of Eagleville, Pa.; a grandson, Ronald C.; a great-granddaughter, Noella Elizabeth Newman and a sister, Gertrude VanMorris of Black Shear, GA. She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Simon. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, 11:30 AM at Arlington Cemetery, Camden, NJ. Evoy Funeral Home.
