Obituary of Gladys L. Bowers

Gladys L. Bowers of Cape May Point died Monday October 27, 2008 at her home. Born in Chatham, NJ she was an area resident the past 25 years having formerly resided in Florham Park, NJ. Gladys was a retired cafeteria manager for the Automatic Switch Co. in Florham Park where she worked for over 20 years. Gladys was a former volunteer for the Cape May Point Food Closet and former member of the Cape May Point Planning Board. She was a member of the Cape May Point Civic Club. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Clarence E. Bowers (1997). Gladys is survived by her children; Art Skip (Ann ) Bowers of Plainfield, IL, Bob Bowers (Rosemarie Billotti) of Lower Twp., and Bonnie Ebersold (Bill) of Sickerville, NJ; five grandchildren, Todd Bowers, Colleen Bowers Halt, Scott Bowers, Matthew Ebersold, Sarah Ebersold Cantrell and preceded in death by grandchildren Robert and Michael Bowers. She also leaves six great grandchildren, Will, Lilly, Kirsten, Katie, Cody and Meghan. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM on Thursday October 30, 2008 at the Cold Spring Presbyterian Church, 780 Seashore Road, Cold Spring. Friends may call after 1 PM at the church.
