OBITUARY Francis J "Frank" Kennedy, 80, of Erwin, TN passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the Life Care Center of Elizabethton, TN following an extended illness. Frank was born on 4/27/1932 in Philadelphia, PA the son of the late John and Marie Kennedy. He served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean War, and was a commercial fisherman by trade. Frank was preceded in death by his wife Florence in 2002. He is survived by his: daughter Kathleen K Van Fossen of Unicoi, TN; son & daughter-in-law Francis J & Amy Kennedy of Poquoson, VA; son & daughter-in-law Shawn & Anmarie Kennedy of Springfield, PA; and daughter & son-in-law Camille & Don Gipple of Danville, PA. Also surviving are his niece Ceres Bainbridge of St Michaels, MD; granddaughter Lisa Kennedy of Alexandria, VA; granddaughter Jennifer Fox of Tampa, FL; granddaughter Laura Gipple of Villas, NJ; grandson Donald Gipple of Villas, NJ; six great grandchildren; and his best friend James Morrow of Cape May, NJ. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the staff of Life Care Center of Elizabethton for their love and care. There will be a graveside service at 3:00 PM on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Cape May County Veteran's Cemetery, 127 Crest Haven Rd, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Frank's memory to a charity of your choosing.
