Marion E. Heacock, 97, of Cape May County died on October 20, 2008 at the Crest Haven Convalescent Home. She met her calling as a career nurse who graduated from the York County Hospital in 1934. She had been a Cape May County Resident for 25 years. She was in charge of the emergency room at Burdette Tomlin Hospital and also worked part-time at the Cape May City Life Guard Station in the 70s. She is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth Caulkins; three grandchildren, Brian Caulkins, Todd Heacock and Teresa Horesta and eight great-grandchildren. Her son, David Heacock, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 25th, 2:00 PM at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd., N. Cape May, NJ, where friends may call from 1:00 PM. Burial will be private. Donations in her memory may be sent to: Holy Redeemer Hospice, 1801 Route 9, Swainton, NJ 08210.
