Irene J. Heintz, age 88, of Cape May, NJ died on October 4, 2008 at North Cape Center. Born in Douglas Township, Berks Co., Pa., she was a Cape May resident for 26 years. Before retiring, she was the postmaster for Perkiomenville, Pa. She was an accomplished artist, winning many awards in the Philadelphia area. She enjoyed using Cape May and Perkionmanville, Pa. for her seascapes and still life paintings. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Sumneytown, Pa. and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Cape May for the past 25 years. Surviving are two sons, Frederick R. Heintz Ill (Marion) of Ft. Pierce, FL. and Henry A. Heintz of Las Vegas, NV.; three granddaughters, Wendy (Michael) Morris of Portsmouth, Va., Denise (Gary) Lawson of Portsmouth, Va. and Sabina (Tom) Eckel of Ft. Pierce, FI; and four great-grandchildren, Gary D. Lawson of Portsmouth, Va., Christopher Lawson of Portsmouth, Va., Lucas Morris of Clearwater, Fl. and Hannah Morris of Portsmouth, Va. She was preceded in death by her husband Frederick L. Heintz II and a brother, David Shirey. Services are private. Evoy Funeral Home
