Obituary of Helvia E. Birchler

OBITUARY Helvia E Birchler, 96, of Villas passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Brooklyn, NY and formerly of North Wildwood, NJ and Levittown, PA; she has been a longtime Cape May area resident. Helvia was a sales clerk at Granny's on the Mall in Cape May. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Fishing Creek and enjoyed her days of dancing with the USO during the war. Helvia was preceded in death by her husband Edward Birchler in 1998 and her grandson Robert. She is survived by her sons: Ronald (Joan) Birchler of Villas & Joseph (Norma) Doris of Levittown, PA. Also surviving are; her sister Shirley Palmer; her grandchildren: Joey, Lisa, Wes, Wayne, & Laura; and her great grandchildren: Joslin, Joseph, Victoria, Lisabeth, Ethan, Brayden, & Jessica. There will be a funeral service at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.
