Lawrence Leo Igoe, 76 of N. Cape May, NJ, died Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at the Court House Convalescent Center, Cape May Court House, NJ. Born in Philadelphia , PA, he was a graduate of West Catholic High School class of 1949. Larry was formerly of Delaware Co., PA. and summered in N. Cape May beginning 1977 until he became a permanent resident in 1985. He served in the US Navy in the early 1960s. He was a retired Chemist Assistant, employed by E.I. Dupont, Philadelphia, PA for 35 years retiring in 1985. He was a parishioner of St. John of God RC Church in North Cape May. Larry was a member of the K of C, Stella Maris Council #3546, Erma, NJ Larry is survived by his wife of 41 years Margaret Shearer Igoe nee Green; a step-son, Theodore S. Shearer (Marge)of Marlton, NJ; two grandchildren, David Shearer and Kathryn McHale , a sister Theresa Horvay of Philadelphia, PA and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by five sisters, Catherine Igoe, Isabel McCullough, Mary Painter, Margaret Igoe and Patricia Manion A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, 11 am at St. John of God RC Church, 680 Townbank Road, N. Cape May. Friends may call Monday after 10 at the church. Interment will be in St. Peter And Paul Cemetery, Marple Twp.PA. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the St. John of God School Tution Fund or Childrens Hospital (for research for Autism) Philadelphia, PA. Evoy Funeral Home
