Obituary of Frank Walter Shields

OBITUARY Frank W Shields, 62, of North Cape May passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at his home. Born in Clarinda, IA and formerly of Siam, IA; he has been a Cape May area resident for 35 years. Frank was a self employed home builder in Iowa and then worked in maintenance at the Cape May County Zoo for 17 years. He enjoyed fishing, walking on the beaches searching for sea glass, and enjoyed sports - especially Fantasy Football (where he was Commissioner of his league). Frank is survived by his wife Debra Shields of North Cape May; his mother Waive Shields of Auburn, IA; his sons: Seth Shields of Madison, WI; Tyler Shields of Council Bluffs, IA; Gary (Tiffany) Honeyman of Gretna, NE; & Scott (Torrie) Honeyman of Clarinda, IA; and his daughters: Jessie (Josh) Washburn of Council Bluffs, IA; & Audra Honeyman of Essex, IA. Also surviving are his sister Harriet (Sonny) Clark of Auburn, NE and his five grandchildren: Ava, Gavin, Brayden, Caleb, & Hudson. There will be a Memorial Service at 4:00 PM on Monday, November 19, 2012 at the Cape May VFW, 419 Congress St, Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends may call from 3:00 to 4:00 PM. A Memorial Service will also take place December 1, 2012 at 3:00 PM at the Stanton Iowa Community Center; where friends may call from 2:00 to 3:00 PM. Interment will be private.
