Lawrence F. OConnell, Larry, 81 of Villas, died on Monday at Cape Regional Medical Center, Cape May Court House, NJ. Born in Philadelphia, PA, formerly liaved in the N.E. section of Philadelphia before moving to Cape May Co. in 1969. He served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He was a plasterer by trade, working mainly in the Stone Harbor/ Cape May areas for many years.
He and his wife were the owners of Maries Takeout in Villas for 13 years. He was a lover of animals. Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Marie; a daughter, Nora (Jack) Wrzesinski of Greenville, N.C.; a step-son, Frank DeMaio of Bristol, PA, and a granddaughter, Lisa M. Wrzesinski of N.C.. Services will be Private. Contributions in his memory requested to: Animal Welfare Society, 40 Route 47, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
