Obituary of Herbert Samuel Sheppard

Herbert Samuel Sheppard, age 67, of Goshen died on May 2, 2008 at his home. Born in Cape May, NJ, he formerly lived in Havertown, PA before moving to Goshen twelve years ago. He was a 1958 graduate of Cape May high School and then Temple University in 1962 also earning his Masters Degree in Education. He then served in the U.S. Army during the mid-60s. He retired as a special education teacher for Lower Merion High School and worked for Parkway Veterinarians for three years after his retirement. Surviving are his father, Herbert M. Sheppard of Goshen; two brothers, Joseph M. and his wife Cordelia Sheppard of Atlanta, GA and Robert J. and his wife Peggy Sheppard of Fishing Creek, NJ; a nephew, Robert Sheppard and three nieces, Sherri Boyle, Amanda Smith and Kristi Millington. He was preceded in death by his mother, Agnes Sheppard in 1992. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at 11 AM at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore road, N. Cape May, NJ where friends may call from 10 am. Burial will be in Cold Spring Presbyterian Cemetery. Contributions in his memory may be sent to: Cape May Co.
