Mildred Anna Millie Getz, age 73, of Cape May Court House went home on May 4, 2008. Born in Phila., PA., on March 12, 1935. She was married to the late Edgar Getz. They lived in Columbia, PA. before relocating to New Jersey in 1988. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved going to the North Wildwood Senior Center and cruising the Wildwood boardwalk in her buggy. She also enjoyed playing Joker Poker at Gateway 26 and Pokeno on Wednesday and Sunday nights. Millie was a member of Shekinah Chapter #82 O.E.S. of Millville and the Ladies Auxiliary of V.F.W. Surviving are six children, Terry Banford Dietzel (William) of Phila., PA., Barbara Starnes (Kenneth) of N. Cape May, Harold JR Peterson (Chris) of Allentown, PA., Darlene Peterson of N. Cape May, Tina Lipford of Sarasota, FL. and Dennis Peterson (Isabel) of Newport, NJ; Brothers David Stuart (Elizabeth), James Stuart (Elizabeth), Joseph Stuart (Edie) and Thomas Stuart (Roxanne); sisters, Dorothy Leone and Linda Welsh; 21 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren and her dog, Noel. She is joined in heaven by two sisters, Joan Cole and Alma Mae Davis, a grandchild and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, 11 AM at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd., N. Cape May, NJ 08204, where friends may call from 10 AM. Burial will be on Thursday, 12 noon at St. Johns Church Cemetery, New Oxford, PA. Donations in her memory are requested to Shriners Hospital, 8400 Roosevelt Blvd., Phila., PA. 19140.
