Eleanor L. Dougherty, age 65, of North Cape May died on Sunday at her home. Born in Phila., Pa., she formerly lived in Brookhaven, Pa. before moving here March 31, 1999. She was a 1961 graduate of West Catholic High School in Phila. She was a customer service representative for Prudential Ins. of Swarthmore, Pa. before retiring. She was a member of St. John of God Church and enjoyed traveling. Surviving are her husband, Arthur Schuster; three sons, John Dougherty , Joseph Dougherty and Thomas Darlington ; two brothers, Joseph (Julia) Devlin of Aston, PA and John (Marian) Devlin of Folsom, PA; three sisters, Dorothea (Cornelius) McDermott of Media, Pa., Margaret McDermott of Norwood, Pa. and Kathryn (John) McLaughlin of Springfield, Pa., a brother in law, William Sheeler and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Dougherty, and a sister, Mary Sheeler. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, 11:30 AM at St. Raymonds Church, Bayshore & Ocean Ave., Villas, NJ, where friends may call from 10:30 AM. Burial will be in St. Marys Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to American Cancer Association, P O Box 87, Nutley, NJ 07110. Evoy Funeral Home.
