Obituary of Eleanora J. Powers

Eleanora J. Powers, 86 of Burleigh, Garden Lake Park died Saturday, March 22, 2008 in the Court House Conv.Center, Cape May Court House. She was born in Camden and was formerly of Somerdale before moving to Cape May Co. in 1968. She was formerly a Nurses Aid, employed by Crest Haven Nursing Home, Cape May Court House. She had also worked for the Collingswood School System and Esming Button Factory in Villas. Eleanora was a member of the Villas Fishing Club, Golden Age Club (served as trustee), Federation Club (Seniors of Lower Twp. ), Villas Civic Club and AARP. Eleanora is predeceased by her two husbands, Wayne Martin and Frank Powers . She is survived by three children; Eleanora Hillwig of Sicklerville, Wayne Martin of Cherry Hill and William Martin of Woodbury; loving and caring companion of many years, Joe; one brother, Budd Alloway; one sister, Anne She also leaves eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and a nephew Jim Powell. Funeral services will be held Wednesday , March 26, 2008, 11:00 am at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Road, N. Cape May. Visitaiton will be after 10 am on Wednesday. Private burial will be held at Bethel Mem. Park, Pennsauken. Contributions in her memory may be made to Green Creek United Meth.
