Francis X. Schalleur,87 of N. Cape May, went home to be with the Lord on March 8, 2008. He was born and raised I South Philadelphia and attended St.Monicas School. He graduated from Roxborough High. He attended the University of Penn Wharton Business School of Business on a GI bill after being honorably discharged from the US Marine Corps. He moved from Drexel Hill, Pa to North Cape May 25 years ago. He was a Master Confectioner and Chocolatier for over 50 years.. He was also a proprietor of business in Philadelphia, Broomall and Sharon hill, Pa. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion, The Moose, and a parishioner of St. John of God. He enjoyed fishing, singing and crossword puzzles.
He was predeceased by his first wife Rosalyn (nee Feeney), daughter,, Frannie Schalleur; step-daughter, Connie Budd; step-son David Budd; seven brothers and sisters. He is survived by his loving wife, Ann (Budd) of 20 years; two daughters, Maureen Smith and husband Bruce, Kathy Plousis and husband Jim; three step-children, Ann Marie Budd-Baldwin, Ben Budd and wife Irene, Mike Budd and wife Dawn; nine grandchildren, Melanie Waldvogel and husband Joe, Marisa Harper and husband Todd, Benny Budd and wife Joanne, Dawn Marie Budd, Stephanie Budd and Mikey Budd; Five Great Grandchildren, Abby, Christopher, and Alex Plousis, Matthew and Gracie Harper.
The viewing and Mass will be held Saturday March 15, 2008, Viewing 10:00am-11:00am at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 106 Mechanic St. Cape May court house, immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow at the Cape May County Veterans Cemetery, Cape May Court House.
