James J. Leonard, age 82, of Villas died on Sunday at Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Newark, NJ, he formerly lived in the state of Oregon before moving here 27 years ago. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He was a life member of Disabled American Veterans of Del Haven and Charles Buddy Lewis V.F.W. Post #5343 of Villas. Surviving are his loving friend and companion, Pat Truehart. He was the beloved Poppi of Dana, Gary, Michael and Casey. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, 12 noon, at Cape May Co. Veterans Cemetery. Contributions in his memory may be sent to: St. Raymonds Church, 25 E. Hudson Avenue, Villas, NJ 08251.
