William R. Kiser, age 82, of North Cape May died on Monday at his home.
Born in Keezletown, Va., he was a resident here for 55 years. He attended Virginia Poly-Tech. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by New Jersey Natural Gas Co. (now South Jersey Gas) for 40 years, having served as manager for 10 years then retiring in 1988. Mr. Kiser was a former member of the Lower Township Board of Education, past master of Arbutus Lodge # 170 F&AM of Cape May Court House (now Cannon Lodge # 104 F&AM), Assistant Fire Chief of Town Bank Fire Co., former District Commissioner of S. Jersey Boy Scouts of America. He also enjoyed playing golf. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Daurice; a son, Garry Kiser of Villas, NJ and a sister, Marye Nelson Ostwald of Indian River,Fl. He was predeceased by two other sisters.
