Obituary of Vivian Mary Green

Vivian Mary Green (Snyder), age 66, of Villas died on December 23, 2007 at her home. Born in Sayre, PA she graduated from Sayre High School class of 1939 and had been the class treasurer. Vivian resided in Sayre for 76 years before relocating to the Villas in 1997. She was a secretary/bookkeeper for Jay Scanlon Insurance Agency in Sayre retiring in 1983 after25 years. Previously she had worked for the Sayre Gas Co.. She was a member of Sayre United Methodist Church. She was the daughter of the late Alice and Walter C. Snyder. She was married in 1953 to Howard D. Green, who died in 1987 and previously married to Charles L. Horton. She was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Rae Myers (Horton) in 1997; four brothers and a sister, Roland, Raymond, Charles and Walter, Jr. and Florence Trodden. Surviving are a daughter, Delores J. Basco, with whom she resided; a sister, Alice Mase of New Port Richie, FL; five grandchildren, Susan Dickey, Joseph Basco, Kenneth Basco and Alice Shafer and 18 great grandchildren.
