OBITUARY John Weiss, 79, of Villas passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Philadelphia, PA; he has been a Cape May area resident since 1985. John was a Philadelphia Policeman retiring after 21 years service. He served his country in the Army Air Corp during the Korean War. John was the former owner of Plaza Gas and Car Wash in Villas; worked for Grace Oil for 15 years; and was a 32nd Degree Mason at Cape Island Lodge. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Regina (nee Brown) Weiss; daughter Cindy (Bill) Hartley; son William Clerkin; son Michael Weiss; son Edward (Dawn) Weiss; daughter Karan (Ralph) Hicks; and his son Thomas (Lisa) Weiss. Also surviving are his sisters: Gladys Burns, Trudy Sheppard, & Charlotte MacDonald; 20 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his sons: Robert Clerkin & John M Weiss; and grandson John C Weiss. There will be a funeral service at 12 Noon on Monday, November 12, 2012 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow at Cape May County Veterans Cemetery, 127 Crest Haven Rd, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
