Obituary of Lawrence Nicholas Borgia

Lawrence Nicholas Borgia, age 93, of North Cape May passed away peacefully Sunday, May 17, 2015 at North Cape Center. Lawrence was born November 15, 1921 in Philadelphia, PA; summered here for many years, and became a Cape May area resident in 1983. He is the son of the late Angelo and the late Elena (Bruno) Borgia. He served his country in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Lawrence was a member of St Raymond's RC Church in Villas. He enjoyed, gardening, boating, fishing, fixing things, and was a member of the VFW in Philadelphia. Lawrence is survived by his wife Almerinda (nee Ettorre) Borgia; his son Lawrence A (Annette) Borgia of Bethlehem, PA; his daughter Barbara (Charles) O'Reilly of North Cape May, NJ; and his daughter Diana Borgia-Petro of Drexel Hill, PA. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the Parish of St John Neumann, St Raymond's RC Church, Ocean & Bayshore Rd, Villas, NJ 08251; where friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Cape May County Veteran's Cemetery, 127 Crest Haven Rd, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. The family suggests donations in Lawrence's memory to the American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
