Obituary of Jennie Emma Troxel

Jennie Emma Troxel, age 100, of North Cape May passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at North Cape Center. Jennie was born March 23, 1915 in Whitemarsh Twp, PA.; but has been a Cape May area resident since 1940. She is the daughter of the late Robert and the late Emma (Clark) Boice. Jennie was employed by Kelly's Restaurant, Wildwood, NJ for over 10 years as a Waitress. She was a volunteer at Cape Regional Medical Center for 37 years and also served on the Board of Directors there. She was a past President (1962) of the Ladies Elks of Wildwood. Jennie was preceded in death by her husband Ellwood Troxel in 1962; her son Henry M Stecher in 1975; and her sisters: Rebecca Restine & Betty Sayers. She is survived by her grandsons: Kurt Stecher & Wayne Stecher; her niece Barbara Sembertrand and her great nephew Michael Sembertrand. There will be a funeral service at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received for a viewing from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Cold Spring Cemetery, 780 Seashore Rd, Cold Spring, NJ 08204. The family suggests donations in Jennie's memory to Cape Regional Medical Center, 2 Stone Harbor Blvd, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210 or Townbank Fire Company Auxiliary, 224 Townbank Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204.
