Obituary of Ruth Malin Ernst

Ruth Malin Ernst, age 75, of Northfield passed away quietly Sunday, April 12, 2015 following a brief illness. She is survived by one brother: Rolf (Ulf) M Ernst of Bradenton, FL and a cousin Jayne Yuri Malin of Darby, MT. Ruth was a steadfast, devoted pillar of her church, Central Methodist in Linwood, giving generously of her time and financial resources. Following her graduation from the University of Pennsylvania, where she was a brilliant scholar, she embarked on a long career as a teacher in the Northfield Public School System. She later was appointed Adjunct Professor at Stockton State College, where she achieved excellence as a creative writing instructor. Ruth will be remembered as a kind, generous woman who often served as a caregiver and friend to those in need. A Memorial Service will be held in her honor at 10:00 am on Monday, April 20, 2015 at Linwood Community Church, 1838 Shore Rd, Linwood, NJ.
