Obituary of Rocco Joseph Pimpinella

Rocco Joseph Pimpinella, age 89, of Villas passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at his home. Rocco was born July 25, 1925 in Philadelphia, PA; and has been a Cape May area resident since 1970. He is the son of the late Francisco and the late Anna Pimpinella. Rocco served his country in the US Navy during World War II. He was the owner/operator of Rocco's Book Binding in South Philadelphia. Rocco was an avid fisherman, enjoyed gardening, and doing puzzles. His greatest hobby was carpentry and he loved building things. Rocco was preceded in death by his loving wife Doris Pimpinella in 2012. He is survived by his son Frank R Pimpinella and his children Frank Pimpinella, Jr, and Brad (Margerite) Pimpinella; a daughter Diane Pimpinella and her children: Timothy (Lisa) Kirsch, Keith (Lynn) Kirsch, Kenneth (Bobbi) Kirsch, Derek (Kristi) Kirsch; his 21 great grandchildren: Keith, Kyle, Madison, Kevin, Macie, Kimi, Dan, Lindsay, Madison, Heather, Amber, Zack, Brindi, Abree, Katie , Tyler, Candace , Anthony, Samantha, Logan, Lilly and one soon to be Finnley; along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. There will be a Funeral Service at 12:00 PM on Monday, March 30, 2015 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at Cold Springs Cemetery, 780 Seashore Rd, Cold Spring, NJ 08204. In honor of Rocco's love of fishing, those attending services are asked to bring Rocco a fishing lure.
