Joseph P. Rader, Sr., age 95, of N Cape May, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on March 14, 2015. Born in Scranton, PA., formerly a 50 year resident of Collingswood, NJ before moving to this area in 2012. Joseph was a retired Pricing Analyst for RCA Corporation in Deptford, NJ for 37 years. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in the African Campaign.. Joseph was a former Knights of Columbus both in Scranton, Pa. and West Collingswood, NJ Councils and Mens Holy Name Society of St. John Church of Collingswood, NJ. He was an avid bowler and belonged to the RCA Bowling League .He is predeceased by his loving wife of 65 years, Lucille M (nee Joyce) who passed in 2012 ;his parents the late Phillip and Bertha Rader; a sister Ellen Peters and a brother Willliam Rader. He is survived by his loving children Kathryn (James) Davis, Pottsville, PA., Joseph (Nancy) Rader, Jr. Collingswood, NJ and Richard (Teresa) Rader of Cape May, NJ. also survived by his 9 grandchildren, William (Shelia) Downs, Jr., Brian (Krista) Downs, Maryanne (Eric) Watral, Kathryn (Joseph) Zelinsky, Meghan (Chris) Ward, Patrick Rader, Sean Rader, Richard M. Rader Jr. and Angela M. Rader; 13 great-grandchildren;1 great-great-grandchild and his loving sister, Mary Otherski of Scranton, PA... Relatives and Friends are invited to his viewing Friday, March 20th, 2015 from 6:00 - 8:00pm from the EVOY FUNERAL HOME INC. 3218 Bayshore Road, North Cape May, NJ 08204 and to his Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 11:00AM from Parish of St. John Neumann /St. Raymond Church Bayshore Road and Ocean Ave Villas NJ 08251 Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Cold Spring, NJ.
