Chase Edward Gartner, age 17, of Erma passed away Friday, February 27, 2015 at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, PA after a courageous battle with HLH. Chase was born September 19, 1997 in Cape May Court House. He was an alumnus of St. Raymond's School, a member of the St. John Neumann Parish, and received his diploma from the Lower Cape May School District, actively pursuing acceptance to Pennco Tech to become a diesel mechanic. Chase was an avid lover of music, trucks, muddin, and loved engines. He was a former wrestler of the Lower Township Tigers. Chase enjoyed baking and was quite the political and history buff. Most of all, Chase was a devoted loving son and brother. He was preceded in death by his father James E Gartner, Sr., his aunt Mary Jo Rodden, and his uncle Matthew Iames. He is survived by his loving mother Teresa Gartner; his nana Claire Iames; and his grampy Edward Iames, Sr. Also surviving are his sisters: Erica Lynn Gartner & Carli Rae Gartner; his brother James E Gartner, Jr.; his uncle Mark Iames; his aunt Susan Iames (Rick); his uncle Michael Iames; his aunt Sandi Revans (Ray); his uncle Edward Iames, Jr. (Yvonne); his uncle Paul Iames; his uncle Billy Rodden; and his uncle David Iames; along with nieces: Riley Madison Kabusk & Paisley Selina Marie Markley; nephew Grady Wilkens Faircloth, V; and numerous cousins and friends. There will be a viewing from 9:00 to 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM at the Parish of St John Neumann, St John of God RC Church, 680 Townbank Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204.
