Obituary of Blanche Stella Reed

Blanche Stella Reed, age 98, of North Cape May passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 17, 2015; with her family by her side as the angels took her home to be with the Lord. Blanche was born January 19, 1917 in Philadelphia, PA; but has been a Cape May area resident since the age of seven. She is the daughter of the late Clarence Henry Brunell and the late Eva Angelina (nee Lightcap) Brunell. Blanche was employed by Crest Haven Nursing Home for 20 years as a Nurse's Aide retiring in 1982. She attended Malaga Assembly of God Church in Malaga, NJ. Blanche enjoyed keyboard, organ, drawing, sketching, knitting, crocheting, and traveling. She was preceded in death by her husband Meredith Reed, a daughter June Reed, and a son Wayne Reed. Blanche is survived by four sons: Gerald (Virginia) Reed of Villas, NJ; Stephen (Dorothy) Reed of Bridgewater, NJ; Dennis (Nancy) Reed of North Cape May, NJ; and Douglas (Karen) Reed of Glassboro, NJ. She also leaves eleven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. There will be a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 23, 2015 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ; where friends will be received from 10:30 to 11:00 AM.
