Obituary of Raymond J Velli

Raymond J Velli, Jr., age 63, of Cape May Court House died Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Victoria Manor Nursing Home in N. Cape May, NJ. He retired after 21 years of service from the U.S. Coast Guard, attaining the rank of Machinery Tech, 1st Class. He was also a Certified Auto Mechanic and later worked for Hi-Tech in Whitesboro. Ray was formerly a volunteer fireman for the Townbank Fire Co. He was an avid bowler with the Coast Guard Mixed League and enjoyed fishing, golfing and attending the Monster Truck shows. Ray was preceded in death by his parents Jacqueline and Raymond Velli Sr, a sister Doneen Lillemon, and a brother Michael. He is survived by his children Vicky and Liz; siblings: Debra Douglass, Harry, Dino, Tracy Antrobus, Tony, Donald, Ronald; two grandchildren: Cheyanne & Derrick; and two aunts Josephine Coombs & Charlotte Kepner. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Road, N Cape May, NJ. Friends may call on Tuesday from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
