Ella Kopsitz, age 86, of North Cape May, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014. Ella was born in Apple Farm, WV; was formerly from Philadelphia, Somerton, PA; but has been a Cape May area resident for over 30 years. She served her country in the Women's Marine Corps during the Korean War. Ella favorite pastime was traveling and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband Robert P Kopsitz; her son Robert (Edith) P Kopsitz, Jr; her son Michael (Sandra) Kopsitz; and her daughter Patricia McHenry. Also surviving are her 2 sisters: Carmel ("Donnie") Ann Hart & Ethel ("Betty") Grace Montgomery; her 6 grandchildren: Kimberly Kopsitz, Joseph Kopsitz, Kathleen DeMarco, Lea-Anne Kopsitz, Robert F McHenry, & Bryan P McHenry; along with her 2 great grandchildren: Lilianna & Elena. There will be a private graveside service at Cape May County Veteran's Cemetery, 127 Crest Haven Rd, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. A "Celebration of Her Life" will be held at a later date to be announced in the Spring . The family suggests donations in Ella's memory to: the Lukemia Society of America, 219 N Black Horse Pike, Mt. Ephraim, NJ 08059; the Salvation Army, 22 S Texas Ave, Atlantic City, NJ 08401; or St Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
