Joseph Patrick Laconte, age 68, of Wildwood, NJ passed suddenly on Sunday morning, November 2, 2014 at the hospital, surrounded by those who loved him. He was the beloved husband of Mary Laconte (nee Hundzinski) (deceased); adored father of Joseph Laconte, Jr., Christie (Nick) Laconte-Jones, and Amy (Neil) Laconte-Smith; and admired brother of Susan Mazieka-Robinson and Albert Mazieka (deceased). Joseph was the son of Albert Mazieka and Mary Mazieka. He is survived and loved by his four grandchildren: Joseph J Funk, Neil Allen Smith, Karlee Laconte-Jones, and Lennon Jackson Smith. He will be deeply missed. Joseph was a proud member of the United States Navy as a crew member of the USS Mullinnix DD944 and the USS Passumpsic (AO-107). There will be services held for both Joseph and Mary at 3:00 PM Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Cape May County Veteran's Cemetery, 127 Crest Haven Rd, CMCH, NJ 08210. All who wish to celebrate the lives of these two wonderful people and parents, please join us - all are welcome.
