I feel blessed to have heard his laughter and seen his smile. His demeanor will seem forever pleasing in my own memory of him. I will never forget my father's stories of him when he was a young man nor will I forget the precious happy time I spent with him growing up on visits with my family up to Cape May. My condolences to his wife and family. He was incredibly cared for and loved thanks to all his wonderful friends and family.

He was the sweetest man. Good natured, kind hearted, quick to smile, good husband and just good to be around. He will be sorely missed. He has earned his place in heaven. My deepest sympathy to Florence.aaaA

I will remember my Uncle Walt as someone who had a deep respect and love for his family and country. My last contact with him was one of characteristic fun and high spirits. My husband and I were visiting Uncle Walt and Aunt Florence from Illinois with our two adopted children, who were at a very rambunctious age. My Aunt and Uncle seemed to know exactly what to do. We sat down at their player piano and sang silly songs, sad songs, all kinds of songs, to which my children also danced. The next day we were off to see the ocean, a real treat for the land locked Midwesterner. We strolled the beach and reminisced about our relationship with my Dad, brother to my Aunt , their parents (my grandparents), and various other aunts and uncles of whom I would never know except by listening to their wonderful stories. Now, I can only say that I am so very grateful that Uncle Walt has been part of my story, too.
