Please share a memory of Roberta to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Roberta Anne "Bobbie" McQuiston (White), 77, of Rio Grande left this earth and entered into the Kingdom of Heaven on September 2, 2014. Born in Charlestown, MA in 1936 to Stanley and Rita White, Bobbie graduated from Charlestown High School in 1955 and in 1959 married US Navy Sailor Woodrow G McQuiston then relocated to the greater Philadelphia area where she worked for the Pennsylvania/Conrail Railway Company for over 30 years before relocating to Rio Grande after her retirement in 1999. She was deeply involved in impacting the lives of our youth by leading Drum and Bugle Corps activities in the greater Philadelphia area for many years and supported their activities up to her passing. Incredibly patriotic, Bobbie took seriously the responsibility of supporting our nation and provided unmatched support to local Police, Firefighters and most importantly our nation's military where she would routinely send care-packages and support other military focused organizations that focus their efforts on our service members both at home and abroad. Bobbie is survived by her husband Woodrow G McQuiston, son Woodrow G McQuiston, Jr., Kenneth JMcQuiston and his wife Mary, and Marianne McQuiston-Champagne and her husband Brett. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren Rocco, Kyle, Scott, Megan, Woodrow III, Samantha McQuiston and Thomas, Christina, and Eric Hood. She also has two great grandchildren Garrett and Greyson McQuiston. Bobbie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, mentor, friend and teacher. She was an inspiration to everyone that came in contact with her. Additionally, she is survived by brothers John, Charles, and Richard Kazinski, sisters Ann, Penny, Joanne and brothers-in-law Robert McQuiston, his wife Marylee, Joseph McQuiston and his wife Nancy, and Tom McQuiston and his wife Cathy, and over 20 nieces and nephews who all love and miss her tremendously. Bobbie is preceded in death by her parents Stanley and Rita White, parents-in-law Woodrow and Mary McQuiston, sister Claire and brother Stanley and nephew Robert McQuiston, Jr. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204. Visitation is from 12 PM to 1 PM with a brief ceremony to follow. If you cannot attend but still wish to support, please feel free to donate to the Breast Cancer support agency of your choosing. Special thanks to all those people that have made such a meaningful impact on our lives during this process.
