Obituary of Charles J Nuding

Charles J "Chuck" Nuding, age 65, of Villas passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2014 after a long and courageous battle with prostate and bone cancer. He never complained and near the end he bravely chose to stop chemotherapy. Chuck was from Delaware County, PA and relocated here in 1980 when he married his wife Bettina. He was a 1969 graduate of Darby Colwyn High School. Chuck served briefly in the US Army. He enjoyed all sports, but especially football, and coached T-Ball and Little League when his children were younger. Chuck worked at the Grand Hotel in Cape May, the Kings Inn in North Wildwood, and retired from Big Lots at age 62 to tend more closely to his illness. Chuck was a member of the First Assembly of God Church for many years and had his Banner Ministry there - which he was well loved for. He loved the Lord so much and gladly went to meet his Savior Jesus. Chuck is survived by his wife of 34 years Bettina; his two sons: Timothy & Charles (CJ) both of Villas; his half brother Anthony; his half sister Adeline; his daughter from a previous marriage Kelly; and his beloved 16 year old dog Bubba. Also surviving are: his brother-in-law Michael (Maria) Garrett of St Augustine, FL; his sisters-in-law: Laura Garrett of North Cape May, NJ; Susan (Mike) Owen of West Cape May; & Desiree Uchoa of San Francisco, CA; and brother-in-law David (Maureen) Garrett of Deptford, NJ. He also leaves behind several nieces: Rachel, Molly, Jessie, Melanie, Allyson, & Keala; his nephew Max; his great nieces: Cala, Winnie, & Addie; and his great nephew Drew. There will be a memorial service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the First Assembly of God Church, 1068 Seashore Rd, Cold Spring, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will be private. The family suggests donations in Chuck's memory to the First Assembly of God Church or to a cancer society of the donor's choosing.
