Obituary of James G. Zent

James G. Zent, age 82, of N. Cape May passed away peacefully Sunday, July 27, 2014 at Victoria Manor of N. Cape May, NJ. James was born September 24, 1931 in Bismarck, ND; was formerly of Newark, DE and New Castle, DE; and has been a Cape May area resident since 1982. He is the son of the late Jacob and Antonette (Cermak) Zent. James served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was employed by Delaware River and Bay Authority as a Police Officer. James was a member of the Cape May National Golf Course and a member of the Villas Fishing Club. He was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth "Carla" Zent on August 20, 2012; his stepson Ronald Holiskey; and his brother Roger Zent. James is survived by: three daughters Mary Lou Zent, Marsha Corcoran, & Peggy Losten; and one son James Zent Jr. Also surviving are: his sister: Marion (Richard) Z. Johnson; his 2 stepsons: David, & Michael Holiskey; 8 grandchildren; and 10 step grandchildren. There will be a memorial service at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Road, North Cape May, NJ; where friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
