Obituary of Dolores Bortles

OBITUARY Dolores Bortles, 64, of North Cape May passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at her home. Born in Philadelphia and formerly of Orland, Fl; she has been a Cape May area resident since 2011. Dolores worked for Universal Studios in Orlando, FL; for the European Hotel in Wildwood; and for Morey's Pier in Wildwood. She was a former member of St Anne's RC Church in Wildwood. Dolores was preceded in death by her husband Daniel Bortles; three brothers: James, Ronald, & Joseph Pettit; and two sisters: Elizabeth Lauber and Deborah Reid. She is survived by her son Daniel Drake of Cape May; her daughter Linda Rolon of FL; her daughter Dawn Stagg of Dennisville; her daughter Sharon Jones of Villas, and her stepson Daniel Bortles, Jr. of Cape May Court House. Also surviving are her brother George Pettit of Hazleton, PA; her brother Bernard Pettit of Villas; her sister Cecelia Koch of Philadelphia; 16 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at the Parish of St John Neumann, St John of God RC Church, 680 Townbank Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
