Catherine R Harman, age 92, of Villas passed away Friday, July 18, 2014 at Victoria Manor. Catherine was born July 10, 1922 in Philadelphia, PA. She moved to the Cape May area in 1958, living in Wildwood, Wildwood Crest, and finally settling in Villas. Catherine was an insurance agent for the Byrne Agency in Wildwood Crest. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Wildwood, a member of the Eastern Star (Shekinah Chapter #82), and enjoyed doing needle point. Catherine was preceded in death by her husband Robert Paul Harman in 1976, her brother Nicholas Rintye, and her son-in-law Kenneth Bassett, Sr. She is survived by her daughter Judith Bassett of Villas; 3 grandchildren: Patricia (Michael) Weisgerber, Dawn (William) Fuget, & Kenneth Bassett (Anthony Bruno); and one great grandson Austin. There will be a memorial services at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2810 Atlantic Ave, Wildwood, NJ 08260; where friends will be received from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. An Eastern Star Service will take place at 12:45 PM prior to the calling hour. Interment will be private. The family suggests donations in Catherine's memory to St Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St Jude, Memphis, TN 38105 or Shriner's Hospital for Children, 8400 Roosevelt Blvd, Philadelphia, PA 19140.
