Obituary of Helen C. Fischere

Helen C. Fischere, age 97, of North Cape May passed away peacefully Friday, July 11, 2014 at Victoria Manor Nursing Home. Helen was born October 6, 1916 in Philadelphia, PA.; and has been a Cape May area resident since 1975. She is the daughter of the late Eugene and the late Catherine (McCloskey) Fischere. She was also preceded in death by her nephew Carl F. Wilson and a niece Cristina Leo. Helen was a graduate of St Elizabeth High School. She retired from Sears and Roebuck in Philadelphia, PA where she worked as a secretary. Helen is survived by her nephew John K (Alma) Wilson of Somerdale, NJ ; great nephews, Joseph Leo Jr., Matthew Wilson, Brian Wilson, John Carl Wilson and Charles Wilson and great nieces, Marie Wilson, Monica Saylor and Melissa Leo. Also survived by the wife of her late nephew, Rosemary Wilson and the husband of her late niece, Joseph Leo Sr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 16 at the Parish of St John Neumann, St. John of God Church, 680 Townbank Road, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, 1056 Seashore Rd, Cold Spring, NJ 08204. Contributions in her memory to the Dept.
