Dorothy L Kindle (nee Lilliston), age 80, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at her home in Cape May Court House, NJ. Dorothy was born June 3, 1934 and grew up in Ventnor City, NJ. Dorothy is predeceased by her husband, Robert G Kindle, whom she married on June 23, 1951. She is also predeceased by her parents John Lilliston, Katherine Lillston, and her grandson William T Kindle. After their marriage, Bob and Dorothy opened an Exxon gas station in Pomona, NJ before moving to Cape May Court House, NJ to open the original Kindle Ford in 1957. After several years, they relocated their business to Wildwood, NJ and; as the business grew, they built Kindle Auto Plaza on Stone Harbor Blvd in Cape May Court House, NJ. Dorothy worked side by side with her husband and was intricate in making Kindle Auto Plaza the success it is today. Dorothy was kind and gentle and had a beautiful smile that would light up a room. She is survived by: her son William Kindle (Dona Leider); her daughter Katherine Salzein; her granddaughters: Elizabeth Haines (Rob Haines), Lauren Kindle (Brian Herron), Jamie Salzlein, Katlyn Salzlein; and grandson Steven Kindle. Also surviving are: great grandchildren: Robert & Alexandra Haines; brothers: Brent Lilliston (Chuck Weller), & John Lilliston; sister-in-law Mary Lilliston; nieces: Stacy Lilliston & Michelle Lilliston; and nephew Jeffrey Lilliston. A special thank you goes to her caregivers Jenneh Dorbor and Emmanuel Boadi. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, N Cape May, NJ; where friends will be received from 9:00 to 11:00 AM.
