Pelegrina Ayala, age 91, formerly of North Cape May, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Abington Memorial Hospital of Abington, PA. Pelegrina was born April 30, 1923 in Moca, Puerto Rico. She was an avid bingo player at both St Raymond's and St John of God RC Churches. Pelegrina was preceded in death by her parents Gil & Estebania Ayala; and her siblings: Estebania, Lydia, Aida, Luisa, Israel, Franco, and Jesus. Surviving are her children: David Ayala (Lisa) , Bernard Ayala (Sonia), Arsenio Ayala, Jr. (Maria), Susan Ayala Reed (Craig), Ada Ayala Keller (Alex), and Arthur Ayala. Also surviving are her sister Eleuteria Rodriguez, her brother Jacinto Ayala, 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 14, 2014 at the Parish of St John Neumann, St John of God RC Church, 680 Townbank Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
