OBITUARY
Estella E Thomas, 91, of North Cape May went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 9, 2012. Born in Coden, AL to Humphrey and Armenta Lynch, Estella lived and worked in Philadelphia before moving to North Cape May in 1965. Growing up in Philadelphia, she was never afraid of hard work; working at a cigar factory, as a governess, at a munitions factory during WWII, as a buyer in the Children's Dept of Lerner's Department store, and eventually in Villas at the family owned Ramble Inn. Affectionately known as Stella to the patrons of Mayer's Tavern where she worked for 30 years, until retiring at the age of 82, she rarely forgot a name or a face. In 2006 Estella moved to Emeritus in Cape May Court House where she made great friends among the staff and residents alike, and was a regular player in their pinochle and bingo games. Estella was predeceased by her husband Lewis E Thomas, Jr.; sister Shirley Smith; brother Carl Lynch; and grandson Carl Eisele. Her life-long wish was to be surrounded by a large family and it is a wish she was blessed to see granted. She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth (Charles) Eisele; son Lewis (Laurie) Thomas; grandchildren: Lisa Eisele, Joseph (Concetta) Eisele, Sean Eisele, Robert (Karen) Boyd-Thomas, Timothy Boyd-Thomas, Emily Thomas, and Stephen Thomas. Additionally she was blessed with great grandchildren: Jacob Eisele, Joseph Eisele, Alexander Eisele, Lyric Boyd-Thomas, Liv Boyd-Thomas, and Mason Boyd-Thomas. A celebration of Estella's life will be held October 17, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Emeritus, 591 Route 9 South, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Brenden Borek High Tides Memorial Fund Inc., PO Box 41, Avalon, NJ 08202. To share condolences, please visit www.evoyfuneralhome.com.
