OBITUARY Edward J "Bug Eyes" McLaughlin, 76, of Villas passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at his home. Born in Philadelphia and formerly of that city, he has been a Cape May area resident for 14 years. Edward served his country in the US Army. He was a member of St Raymond's RC Church, the Villas VFW, a former member of the Cahill's Mummers Brigade, and was active in planning the Mummer's Parade in Philadelphia. Edward was a computer analyst at Quarter Master Defense Supply in Philadelphia. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Mary (nee Nichols) of Villas; his son Edward (Carmella) McLaughlin of Essington, PA; his daughter Tracey (Joe) Donahue of Villas; and nine grandchildren: Rae Anne, Joey, Eddie, McKenna, Brian, Dylan, Nina, Sarah, & Maya. Also surviving are his: brother Jerry McLaughlin of Eddystone, PA; brother Michael McLaughlin of Eddystone, PA; sister Rita Carvin of Holmes, PA; and sister Peggy Spera of Glenolden, PA. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 12, 2012 at the Parish of St John Neumann, St Raymond's RC Church, Ocean & Bayshore Rd, Villas, NJ; where friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow the service at Cold Spring Cemetery, 780 Seashore Rd, Cold Spring, NJ 08204.
