Obituary of David S. Howell

David S. Howell, Sr., age 72, of Villas died Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Cape Regional Med. Center of Cape May Court House. David was raised in West Cape May and resided briefly in North Cape May and for many years in Villas. David was a proud member of the US Coast Guard retiring as a Chief Petty Officer in 1980. He was a member of the Jersey Cape Cruisers and was well known for his orange 1940 Chevy flat bed truck. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Barbara; five children, Diane, David (Sonny), David Jr., Elizabeth and Michelle; four step- daughters, Diana, Karen, Michelle and Barbara; two brothers Raymond and Norman; 20 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Road, N. Cape May, NJ 08204. Relatives and friends may attend a visitation on Friday evening from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cold Spring Cemetery, Cold Spring.
