Edward M Schleigh, age 77, of Villas passed away Friday, April 18, 2014 at Cooper Medical Center of Camden, NJ. Edward was born in Philadelphia; formerly lived in Williamstown, NJ; and has been a Cape May area resident for 15 years. He is a retired truck driver working for many years at Jacquin's Liquor Distributorship in Philadelphia. Edward served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the Villas VFW; enjoyed boating, crabbing, and spending time with his family. Edward was preceded in death by his wife Margaret (nee Killian) Schleigh. He is survived by: his daughter Cheryl (Bill) Garvey; his son Eddie Scheigh; his son Tommy Bradley-Schleigh (Nancy); and his daughter Gina Clerkin (Anthony). Also surviving are his son-in-law Patrick Clerkin; two brothers Bill Schleigh & Tommy (Donna) Schleigh; three grandchildren: Robin Belinski, Amanda Clerkin, & Jon Clerkin; and two great grandchildren: Julia & Alyvia Clerkin. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the Parish of St John Neumann, St Raymond's RC Church, Ocean & Bayshore Rd, Villas, NJ 08251; where friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Cold Spring Cemetery, 780 Seashore Rd, Cold Spring, NJ 08204.
