Sharon Ashbridge Greer, a beloved member of the Cape May, New Jersey community, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2024, at the age of 67. Born on April 18, 1957, at Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania, Sharon grew up dedicated to learning and excellence. She graduated from Unionville High School and later distinguished herself at Widener University, where she earned the esteemed honor of being included in Who's Who of America. Further demonstrating her intellectual prowess, Sharon became a Certified Public Accountant.
Professionally, Sharon served as the Controller for Buena Plumbing/Electric in Buena, New Jersey, for over twenty years, showcasing her organizational skills and keen intellect. Beyond her career, Sharon was a beacon of positivity and happiness. She was known for her infectious laugh, especially when listening to the jokes of her late husband, Thomas Greer, whom she adored deeply. Her pride in Thomas's accomplishments in sports was always evident, as was her delight in family gatherings and friendships.
Sharon was a loving sister, aunt, and daughter, with a nature that made everyone feel cherished and supported. She leaves behind her dear daughter, Dawn Greer, and her brother, George B. Ashbridge. She is predeceased by her husband, Thomas; her sister, Michelle E. Ashbridge; and her parents, Dorothy J. Ashbridge and George H. Ashbridge.
A funeral service will be held in Sharon's honor beside her resting place at Cold Spring Presbyterian Cemetery, 780 Seashore Rd, Cape May, NJ, on Wednesday, November 27th, 2024. As we reflect on Sharon's life, we remember not only her many accomplishments but the joy she brought to each of our lives. Her brother shares, "My heart is broken to share that my wonderful sister, Sharon, has passed. Sharon was my protector, my partner in crime, and my greatest supporter. Her presence in our lives was a gift, and her memory will continue to bring us joy just as she did."
