Colleen, Our friendship was brief, but I am so grateful that the Women’s Cancer Support Group brought us together. We had many times together and you called us “kindred spirits”. I miss your unconditional love and giving of yourself. Making pfeffernutter cookies for the widows and widowers will always be a treasured memory. I wish my girls met you Colleen. You were a mom to me and I don’t think you knew that. You gave me so much strength and courage when I was a child. I love you and your family and am truly saddened by your passing. I have no doubt you are with the Lord watching over your family. To Taylor, Lauren, Michael, Dan & Mr. Sherno (Mike), Colleen and your family have always stuck with me. I have never forgotten your kindness and love. You have the most wonderful and godly family and I know Colleen is extremely proud of you all and loves all of you deeply.

Colleen- You were the first person in my life who made me feel like I had someone who cared about me. I was young and friends with Taylor. I specifically remember graduating school and you came by with a domino’s pizza box made out of money and fake pepperoni. I still have the letter/note congratulating me on my graduation. You always took me in with open arms and thought of others. I know no one knows what I was truly dealing with growing up, but you were the closest thing I had to a maternal figure. I will miss you and I am so deeply sorry I haven’t seen you in a long time. I let life get in the way. You are a godly woman and I really aspire to be like you. I love you Colleen.
