Obituary of Donna Marie Zawalick

Donna Marie Zawalick ,(nee Selle) was born in Rochester, NY on December 16, 1932, the daughter of Herman Selle and Eloise Lacey Selle. She spent summers with her cousin, Margaret Fahey, just 5 days younger, at their grand-parents farm. She graduated from Bloomfield High School, Bloomfield, NJ and soon married A.T "Ted". Zawalick. Her beloved Ted died in 1999. Donna started her nurse training at Presbyterian Hospital in New York City and continued it at RCC and St. Thomas. She was Charge Nurse, specializing in Psychiatry and geriatrics. She was a wonderful mother to 8 children, Catherine Sharon, Steven, Ann, Mary, Thomas, Matthew and James, who will miss her humor, laughter, wit, wisdom and counsel tremendously. Donna was also a large part of the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Patrick, Keith, Katie, Kelly, Scott, Mackenzie, Michele, Rebecca, Sara, Sophia, Abby, Lacey and Julian She is predeceased by her brothers, Robert, Jack and Ralph. Although Donna spent much time in Fords, NJ and Spring Valley NY, her last residence was in Cape May, NJ. A visitation will be held from 10-11 am on Tuesday November 12, 2024, at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Road, North Cape May, NJ and will be followed by a service at 11:00 AM.
