Mary M Raschke Obituary

Mary M. Raschke, 101, Villas, entered into eternal rest Sunday evening, September 8th with those who loved her by her side. Born July 14, 1923 in Philadelphia PA, she was the daughter to William and Bertha (Basquille) McFadden. She was the second graduating class (1942) from Little Flower Manor High School, Philadelphia. On April 19, 1947, she married the love of her life, the late Carl Raschke after he came home from serving in WWII. Mary worked for the former Bell Telephone for 42 years and retired in 1981. After retirement, she and Carl permanently moved to the Jersey Shore in 1982. She was a member of St. Raymond's RC Church and played an integral part in organizing and running the North Cape May Senior Bus trips to Atlantic City. Mary is survived by her goddaughter, niece Maureen Mastalski (Joe); nieces and nephews Sherri McNulty (Tom), Roy Litton, Jr., Ryan Litton (Amy) and Michelle Litton; great nieces and great nephews; along with many dear friends whom she was very grateful for their friendship. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11AM Monday, September 16 at the Parish of St. John Neumann Church of St. Raymond. Friends are invited to pay their respects from 10AM until the time of the Mass. Interment will be private on the grounds of Cape May County Veteran's Cemetery. Evoy Funeral Home 3218 Bayshore Road North Cape May NJ has been entrusted with arrangements. The family would prefer donations be made to the Cape May County Animal Shelter.
