Although in later years we did not get to see each other often except at family events, Elena always greeted me and her cousins with affection. She was always glad to see us. When Ron was alive, she continued to remember me at Xmas with a card, which I felt was very sweet in this day of cultural niceties disappearing. She was a great cook, a baker, and really knew how to create a generous and delicious display for her friends and family. I remember visiting when we were younger, and she always offered something to eat or drink. I am sorry she had to suffer the surgeries in the past, and it seems God helped her not know how she would leave this earth, by having it happen in a bolt of an event. I know she missed her hubby and she now is with him, so I know she is happy. We need to celebrate life rather than mourn death. What legacy did she leave and memories? That is what all maintain as they sorrow for her demise. God Bless Elena. Love, Diana
